About the Ecuador Trip
Want to Join Us on an Amazing Adventure in Ecuador?
Student-Athletes Leading Social Change (SALSC) will send a group of roughly 15-25 people to build schools in Ecuador in July, 2011. We will be working with an organization called Free the Children, which has built 500 schools at locations around the world. We travelled with Free the Children's program Me to We last summer and helped build a school in Sikirar, Kenya. The trip was an amazing experience for everyone involved and we can't wait to make a similar impact in another location. Me to We was incredible and we are so confident that we will have another amazing experience.
The Ecuador Adventure will begin in Old Quinto. We will stay among the indigenous Puruha people and practice our Spanish and Quichua as we interact with community members and help build one of the schools we funded. We will immerse ourselves in the native Ecuadorian culture and participate in local traditions through stories, food, song and dance.
Our fundraising begins now! If you'd like to be apart of what is sure to be another once in a lifetime experience, please contact us immediately so that we can help you and your school begin the fundraising process.
